Social
creatures
striving in our
communal
conformal
complacency
watching with suspicion
those extra-normal among us
who shun our ritual niceties
our seemingly superfluous
politely transmitted
pleasantries
that are
innocuous
on their surfaces
but diabolically embedded
with subtle messages
designed to expose
deviations in behavior
that do not serve
to improve the chances
of the survival
of the community
as a whole. |
|
However,
it is from these wretched
invisible
indecipherable
insufferable few
we find painters
sculptors
writers
composers
explorers
inventors
the flesh, bone, blood, brain and soul
that define our culture
and leave our collective mark
on history. |
